These are projects I have worked on for companies and during my graduate studies at Harvard.
Clark County Schools Achieve Training and Resources
This website contains information, resources, and training materials for the implementation of the Clark County Schools Achieve reorganization effort. This website was created to provide accessible and on-demand learning opportunities for CCSD staff.
My contributions to this project include the creation of media assets, such as images and training videos, as well the information architecture for training content.
KQED Teach is an award-winning online professional learning platform for educators interested in developing their media literacy and media production skills. The platform was created with the goal of empowering educators to incorporate media into their classrooms with their students.
My contributions to this project include assisting with the development of online courses, creating video and digital content, assisting with user research, and partaking in design sprints to further refine the platform.
I have been involved with this project from its conception to launch. The platform launched in July 2016 and currently has over 3000 users. It received the 2017 Media Literate Media Award from the National Association of Media Literacy in Education.
EdTechTeacher: Self-Paced Course on Formative Assessment Tools
I was part of a three-person consultant team in a partner project with EdTechTeacher to use ETT's latent online assets (videos, slides, etc.) to create a structured, open, self-paced online learning course on formative assessment tools.
My responsibilities were creating the "Try It" components for each tool. I collaborated with my team to create the learning goals and overall structure of the course. I also instructed others on how to use Google Sites.
Full STEAM Ahead
I was part of a four person team that created a web-based 3D game level that teaches Common Core supported STEM material to K-2 students.
My contributions to this project were developing user personas, designing part of the game level in Unity, and conducting initial user testing at 2014 TEDxBeaconStreet.
